WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM PACKET? EPIC Group Experiences is an on-demand program with an application booklet featuring more than 128 standards and best practices. Also included is an activity guide with a group tour glossary and 13 hands-on worksheets. Eleven 10-minute training videos are also included and exclusive to participating EPIC partners.
WHO IS THIS FOR? This program was created to recognize museums, attractions, restaurants, hotels and other tour partners who provide exceptional service to group tours.
WHEN WILL I GET ACCESS? You will get access to standards, best practices, the EPIC Group Experiences Activity Guide and training videos immediately after purchasing.
DO I NEED TO BE LOCATED IN A SPECIFIC REGION OR COUNTRY TO PURCHASE? Right now, this program is available to businesses/destinations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Ontario. These states are the primary states showcased at Heartland Travel Showcase.
ONCE I FINISH THE APPLICATION PROCESS, HOW DO I SEND IT IN FOR APPROVAL? Once you purchase the program and complete the application process, we’ll send you instructions included on how to submit materials via Dropbox or mail.
HOW AND WHY DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS PROGRAM? Designated businesses better understand the unique needs of tour operators and their customers through clear standards and learning opportunities. Designated businesses rise to the top of the competition for the group market. This could mean more group business, as tour operators will see at a glance that they are committed to exceptional group experiences and customer service.
The Epic Group Experience program was developed with input from more than 300 group travel operators, receptive operators and suppliers. Standards and best practices were approved by three teams of tour operators and suppliers doing business in the Heartland region.
IS THIS DESIGNATION PROGRAM A ONE-TIME PAYMENT OR IS THERE A RENEWAL PROCESS? The EPIC Group Experience requires an initial investment for access to all the materials. At renewal time, additional information and updates to the material, as well as continued designation as an EPIC Group Experience, will require a minimal renewal fee.
